One Day’s Wages

A grassroots movement of people, stories, and actions to alleviate extreme global poverty.

One Day’s Wages (ODW) is a non-profit organization founded in Seattle, Washington with the mission to alleviate extreme global poverty. The organization focuses on 11 issues to empower communities around the world: emergency relief, children’s education, water sanitation, human trafficking, maternal health, jobs and skills, preventable diseases, girl’s empowerment, child health, global hunger, gender-based violence, and refugee relief. ODW partners with trusted organizations in the field to support them in their endeavors.

I joined the One Day’s Wages team as a freelance designer at the start of 2020.

“In the midst of the challenges and injustices happening in the areas where we work, I’m constantly reminded of stories of real people that inspire hope.”

We believe that simple acts of generosity can make a lasting impact in a world where many people still live on less than $1.90/day, which is the international poverty line.
